Most of you know that I was out of town for a few weeks and visiting family in Venezuela. Originally I had planned to go for my Uncle Andres Eloy’s birthday party which I knew would be a huge party at the same time as the parties of my hometown of La Luz. Then when I found out that my cousin Maria Andreina, the daughter of Andres Eloy was planning on getting married at the same time I was even more excited to go. I knew that they would have a really fun wedding and I wanted to be there with my camera. If you’ve never seen a Venezuelan wedding before then you are in for a treat. The groom rode in on a horse and the bride and her father a horse drawn carriage. As they drove away from the church on the way to the reception there were fireworks and everything. The reception was very typical of the llanos region of the country, lots of farmlands, horses and cowboys. Not many people know this but when I started my business 16 years ago it was mainly for the purpose of helping my family. It was a wonderful experience to finally be able to do that in the best way I know how.
